27 November 2012 - RES PREPARES FOR CONSTRUCTION OF WOOLLEY HILL WIND FARM

Spring 2013 is the likely start date for construction of Woolley Hill Wind Farm, which lies north of the A14. RES is currently in the process of discharging planning conditions, a process that will see measures out in place to ensure that the wind farm will be a good neighbour throughout the construction phase and beyond. The turbine components are likely to be delivered to site in early 2014 and the whole construction programme will last approximately 12 months.

Once constructed, the 9.2MW wind farm will be able to generate enough clean, green electricity each year to meet the average needs of more than 7,000 homes.

RES will continue to keep local people informed about developments through updates on this website, newsletters sent direct to properties around the wind farm site and via the Community Liaison Group which meets regularly to discuss topics relevant to the wind farm.
