PLANNING INSPECTOR GIVES GREEN LIGHT TO WOOLLEY HILL WIND
FARM
RES has welcomed a Planning Inspector's decision to give
planning consent to Woolley Hill Wind Farm, a four turbine scheme
situated on land to the north of the village of Ellington and
the A14.
Once constructed, the 8MW wind farm will be able to generate
enough clean, green electricity each year to meet the average needs
of up to 5,000 homes - or the equivalent of 8% of the annual
electricity consumption of all the homes in Huntingdonshire.
Construction is expected to begin in 2013 and will last
approximately 12 months. For more information, please see our news page.
