UPDATE ON PROPOSED FOOTPATH CLOSURE

Following a review of its construction works at Woolley Hill Wind Farm, RES has announced that they believe any significant closure of a local footpath near Ellington can be avoided.

The footpath in question is officially designated as footpath No.15, which runs from Ellington Brook by the A14 northwards to meet other footpaths in the area.  RES had permission to temporarily close the footpath if necessary between 18 November 2013 and 18 May 2014. However, RES is now unlikely to close the footpath for any length of time and will manage the works on site as they cross the footpath with local signage and barriers. RES will also try to leave the path open at evenings and weekends so that we minimise any inconvenience to local walkers.
